Manager, Buildings and Grounds
Responsibilities
- Ensure the overall maintenance, cleanliness, and proper management of university facilities.
- Create and implement a maintenance plan to prevent and predict potential issues.
- Oversee daily department operations, including staff management, task prioritization, workload distribution, and ensuring high-quality, timely job completion.
- Prepare and manage the department’s budget while controlling expenses and stock usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and government guidelines.
- Manage rental spaces leased to external businesses.
- Prepare and submit operational reports on time.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance or facility management.
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance, safety, and security.
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Experience in handling contractors and vendors.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Supervise maintenance teams and assign daily tasks.
- Monitor repairs, renovations, and new projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
