Manager - Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance & Audit
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with government and university requirements, policies, and business rules.
- Monitor MOHE, MQA, and KDN regulations and ensure compliance.
- Liaise with government agencies for licenses, permits, approvals, and accreditations.
- Collaborate with Deans and Heads of Departments for regulatory compliance and documentation.
- Ensure approval and accreditation of academic programmes by MOHE and MQA.
- Coordinate MQA accreditation processes, including assessment visits.
- Manage quality assurance processes and provide related advice and support.
- Develop and implement academic and non-academic standards, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct periodic internal audits and coordinate external performance audits.
- Maintain academic data, programme standards, and a database of regulatory and rating requirements.
- Manage benchmarking activities and academic quality performance indicators.
- Maintain records of MOUs with partner universities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff for compliance with education quality assurance.
- Prepare and provide regular reports to senior management.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 3 years relevant experience in a an University environment, especially in respect of government and university approvals and accreditation.
- Possess a good knowledge in Malaysian government regulations pertaining to Private.
- Higher Education Institutions Act and Malaysian Qualifications Framework, including curriculum design, assessment, programme monitoring and review etc.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to obtain and interpret information and make specific recommendations based on sound judgements.
- Demonstrated high level management and planning skills.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in both English and Malay, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, plans, submissions and complex correspondence.
- Demonstrate effective and influencing interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to liaise, negotiate and influence at all level and to deal with internal and external parties.
- Exhibit a highly professional, team work approach in working closely and collaboratively with other staff members in the department, management and academic staff.
- Proficient computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office applications.
