Nilai University Postgraduates Empower Young Learners at Autism Centre

As part of the DD4102 Psychology of Learning and Teaching course under the Master of Education programme, a group of six international postgraduate students successfully carried out a three-day educational visit to IDEAS Autism Centre, Nilai, on 17 June, 1 July and 8 July 2025.

The visit was designed to provide first-hand exposure to the teaching and learning approaches for children with learning differences, aligning with the programme's emphasis on educational psychology in real contexts.

The students involved were Wang Mohan, Chua Geok Eng, Wu Yanping, Yu Anqi, Zhao Dan and Lin Yilin. Under the supervision of Principal Lecturer Dr Pang Jee Ching, the team facilitated interactive teaching and learning activities for the children at the centre, while gaining valuable insights into inclusive education practices.

This initiative enhanced the students' understanding of psychological theories in teaching and also instilled a deeper sense of social responsibility as future educators. We extend our sincere appreciation to IDEAS Autism Centre for the collaboration and support in making this learning experience impactful and memorable.
