Nilai University Robotics Team Claims Silver at Prestigious International Competition!

Following a recent robotics training series, Nilai University Robotics Team has made us proud at the prestigious R2T2 Mission to Mars (Asia) 2025 competition held at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok.

Right from our campus, the team competed virtually against top teams from Thailand and Singapore, our students demonstrated outstanding technical skills, sharp problem-solving, and seamless teamwork securing an impressive 2nd Place victory!

The team members comprised Jeff Sia Yu Heng (Bachelor in Software Engineering (Honours), Liew Shet Cheng (Bachelor in Information Technology (Honours), Hamse Mohamed Ismail (Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) (Data Science), and Sharwin N. Sureshkumar ( Diploma in Computer Science).

The team advisors are Mr Seow Soon Loong, Head of the School of Computing, with support from lecturers Mr Izrulfizal Sufihamizal Ibrahim, Mr Mohd Shahdi Ahmad and Mr Muhammad Hamizan Johari.

This achievement not only highlights their dedication but also puts Nilai University on the maps as a hub for future-ready robotics talent.
