O-Rangerz Triumph in Nilai U Campus Games

Students and staff from the School of Engineering, Science and Technology come up tops in annual games.

Students and staff from Nilai University's (Nilai U) School of Engineering, Science and Technology swept four out of five gold medals at the annual Campus Games. They came out tops in the badminton, volleyball (men/women) and basketball (men), with the women's basketball top prize going to the Flaming Eagles from School of Business.

The Campus Games is part of Nilai U's efforts to provide students with wholesome and sporting activities to complement their academic endeavours. Given Nilai U campus is 105-acres of greenery with sporting facilities aplenty, the Total Student Experience is enriched with a variety of outdoor activities. Mohd Zamrie Sharudin (Nilai U Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) who is President of the Volleyball Club says that the event is a great platform for students to show their skills and also bond with their peers. He also says that the Campus Games help students hone their skills for intra-college competitions as well as national meets.

The pictures here highlight the good spirit in which the 2012 edition of the Campus Games was played in. While the O-Rangerz might have won the medal tally, it is clear that all the participants had a great time competing.
