Introduction

The programme will provide student with knowledge in computing, strong foundation of statistics and mathematics to use scientific methods to extract, process and analyse data, produce visualize meaningful information, and perform programming. The student will be exposed with the latest data science trends, insights and emerging topics to ensure student graduate with a specialist, technical and highly relevant skill-set that is sought-after by employers globally.

Entry Requirements

STPM (Non- Science stream)

A pass with min. grade C in any two(2) subjects and a credit in SPM Additional Maths

OR

A pass with min. grade C in any two (2) subjects and a credit in SPM Maths and one (l) Science, technology or Engineering subject

STPM (Science stream)

A pass with grade D in Maths and one (l) Science/ICT subject

A-Level (Science stream) A pass with Grade D in any two (2) subjects and grade C in SPM / O-Level Maths and Science, Technology or Engineering subjects
A-Level (Non-Science stream)

A pass with grade D in any two (2) subjects and a Grade C in SPM/0-Level Maths and Science, Technology or Engineering subjects

UEC A pass with 5B’s including Maths and one (1) Science, Technology or Engineering subjects
Foundation / Matriculation

A pass with minimum CGPA 2.0 and credit in SPM Additional Maths


OR


Pass with minimum CGPA 2.0 and credit in SPM Maths and one (1) Science, Technology or Engineering subjects

Diploma in Computer / Software Engineering / Information Technology / Information System A pass with minimum CGPA 2.5
Diploma in Science and Technology A pass with a CGPA 2.5 and includes a rigorous internal assessment

International students with qualifications where English language is the main medium of instruction are exempted from this requirement

International students who do not fulfil the English Language Requirements may join the Intensive English Programme at Nilai University to builds their skills in the language and prepares them for the IELTS examination
